Pause / Resume

A file may be Paused (or Resumed) at any time while it is transferring.

In certain cases (for example, when a file is Ready to Save (see File Status Descriptions)) a file cannot be paused, at these times the Pause button will be disabled (see below).

Note: In Grid Console mode (only), both Pausing and Resuming a file can be performed from the Windows menu.

Pausing a file

In order to Pause a transferring file, it must be in the unpaused state (see below) and the Pause button must be pressed.

Once a file is Paused, it will stop transferring and will not Resume until the user specifically "unpauses" it. Even if the application is exited (i.e., shutdown), the Paused file will retain its Paused state.

Resuming a file

In order to Resume transferring a file, it must be in the paused state (see below) and the Pause button must be pressed.
