Block Sender
At any time when you are the Recipient of a file, you may choose to block the Sender from ever sending you any additional files in the future.
If you are the Sender of a file, then the Block Sender button will be disabled (see below).

Note: In Grid Console mode (only), the Block Sender operation can be performed from the Windows menu.

Why would I block someone from sending me files?
If for some reason, you find that a specific individual keeps sending you files that you do not want, then Blocking that Sender from sending you files in the future is the perfect solution.

What happens when I block someone?
When you block someone, then that Sender's email address is added to your list of Blocked Users. That Sender will not be able to send you files in the future. Please be aware, however, that any existing files already transferring will continue to do so.

  Blocking a Sender
In order to Block a Sender, the Block Sender button must be pressed.

If the Recipient is still transferring a file, then the transfer continues normally. The file may be Aborted at any time, or allowed to finish transferring. If the transfer is already complete (i.e., Ready to Save), then that file may still be Deleted or Saved as desired.

Please be aware, however, that the Sender will now be prevented from sending the Recipient any files in the future.

I've accidentally blocked someone that I didn't want to, now what?
As long as you can get to the Internet, you can easily manage your list of Blocked Users. You can add additional blocked users or delete existing blocked users. All you need to do is log into the website with the same email address and password that you sign-in to magicVORTEX with. (If you've forgotten your password, then visit the Forgot Password page.)
