The 56 MB file I sent took 8 hours to upload. I am sure glad I could shut down my computer using the application. Thank you for reminding me of that. However, now in the details I see "progress at 50%" (what is this?) and "all bytes sent" but the file is still active and it says "waiting for recipient". What do I do at this point?

When a file's status is marked as "Waiting for Recipient", then the next step (and I apologize if this sounds cliche) is to wait. You've successfully uploaded a file 100% (which is why within the application the sender's progress is marked as "All bytes sent"), but you now have to wait until your recipient downloads the file.

Your recipient can download their file in one of two ways. If they're a registered magicVORTEX user and use the application, then the next time they launch the application they'll automatically begin downloading the file that you sent. If they're not a registered user or if they are, but only use the website to perform file transfers, then they will receive an email informing them that they have a file waiting for them at the website. Either way, it's now up to your recipient to download the file.
